OK...here's my options:

1 QB position open

Harrington (DET)

Waiver Wire (I can drop Pennington since he's out for the year)
McCown (ARI - 2nd string)
Bollinger (NYJ - 3rd string)
Losman (BUF)

Who would you go with?

I'm thinking Losman vs NO, but...McCown is facing the 49ers this week...tempting

Harrington vs TB is negative points I think
Bollinger vs BAL could also spell negative points

Thoughts? There isn't anyone else really out there.

Hmm...definitely a no on Harrington. I don't think Losman will do anything. I don't even know anything about Bollinger.

I would pick Mcnown just because the 49ers let Bulger throw for 362 yards, Mcnabb for 342, and Bledsoe for 363.

I think I would leave Harrington in. At least he has some recievers to maybe get some yards. And even if he throws some pics, if they are behind most of the game he has the opportunity to get some big fantasy numbers.

If you're dead set against starting Harrington I'd get Mcnown. He knows the offense, has receivers, and well, it's the 49ers.

I agree and heck, he may even get a TD or two in there with those receivers he's got.

I'd really start Harrington.
He's coming off a BYE week, and should've (hopefully) worked out some kinks.
He's got to snap out of it sometime.......just like Culpepper snapped back this week.

If you must go with the other choices, I think it's a toss up between Losman & McCown. But I'd stick with Harrington really.

It's not so much Harrington as it is Harrington versus Tampa Bay against McCown vs the 49ers.

I just don't get a warm fuzzy when I hear of a struggling QB going against TB.

That said, this is what McCown did against SF last year in 2 games:

Situation G QBRat Comp Att Pct Yds Y/G Y/A TD Int Rush Yds Y/G Avg TD Sack YdsL Fum FumL
vs San Francisco 2 81.0 45 78 57.7 538 269.0 6.9 3 2 4 18 9.0 4.5 0 3 22 1 0

Harrington hasn't faced the Bucs before...well, in 2002 he was 0 for 1, but that really doesn't count.

You should start
Mcnown ( you should pick him up anyways if you dont.)

I think Losman should be a bust this week. NO has their first "home" game and that place will be a very hostile enviroment for the Bills.

Thanks for all the input. I used McCown and he had a HUGE day! In fact, he's probably the idfference in me winning this week (won't know that until tomorrow, but it's a good bet I won this week).

EDIT:
Scores from my league:
MCCown 50 points
Harrington 17 points
Bollinger 16 points
Losman 7 points

I picked right.

The only waiver wire guys there were
Brunell 34 points
Schaub 7 points (in relief of Vick)
A Smith 6 points (in relief of Rattay)
K Holcomb 3 points (in relief of Losman)

Well damn, if Brunell is still available, you might want to consider nabbing him instead of Harrington. He's just been downright awful.
