RYAN CLARK'S SNUB RELFECTS POORLY ON HIM Uses Miami to Get His Deal Free Agent Safety Ryan Clark Talks the Talk...then Walks Out the Door You know one of the great priviledges of being an internet site is that we don't have to be politically correct. While the media and many others politely dance around the Ryan Clark decision to snub Miami based on "Family", I don't have to do that. Fact is Ryan Clark knew he had a family before coming here (I hope he did!), and knew that signing with Miami meant he would have to move here. He also says that he always "wanted to end his career in Pittsburgh". Then why, with all of that, does he and and his agent prance around South Florida saying things like they "hope this is the one and only stop" etc. and indicating they intend to sign with Miami to the extent that it was all but a foregone conclusion by everyone that he would be a Miami Dolphin. Bottom line is that Miami has to accept that they were played like a violin. This trip was used to get the offer he wanted all along with Pittsburgh and this was nothing more than a smoke screen to force the Steelers into giving him the contract he wanted. That is why no other trips were scheduled because one chump was enough. The Miami Dolphins are that chump. I was one of the people who was excited about the possible Clark signing. I think it would have solved an area of need and brought some swagger to our defense that we need. But now I look beyond the player we would have signed, and look at the man we would have signed and I am glad we did not make the deal. Ryan Clark represents the same mnd set as many of today's athletes and it is what spoils this game for the fans. The self serving actions and ego that make someone act this way are not the kind of qualities we need on this team. We have had one Joey Porter we do not need another. Ryan Clark has every right not to sign here and he has every right to make a decision for his family. But it shows a lack of class and honor to come here with this big bravado about this being the right kind of place for him, blah, blah, blah...when he knew all along he was not going to sign. That is if indeed, it was because of family issues. If it is about money and Miami didn't offer enough than be man enough like Antrelle Rolle and say it was the money. Bottom line is the Miami Dolphins were used, and I would rather go out and find a player with integrity who wants to be here then have a prema donna who's big ego will just cause trouble when things aren't going the way he wants. On to better things. TALK ABOUT THIS IN THE FINHEAVEN FORUMS! The Internet's Largest Miami Dolphin Community
