WAKE SACKS DALTON FOR GAME WINNING SAFETY
The four game losing streak has been snapped. The Dolphins remained perfect on Thursday games in October and perfect in games played on Halloween. All thanks to star defensive end Cameron Wake, who sacked Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton for a safety during overtime. The safety gave the Dolphins a 22-20 victory and became the third team in NFL history to win a game in this fashion.
The Dolphins entered Thursday's game in a slump having lost four straight after starting the season 3-0. After jumping out to a 17-3 lead, thanks in part to a 94 yard interception return for a touchdown by Brent Grimes, the Dolphins saw their lead evaporate for the third straight game as the Bengals pulled ahead 20-17 in the final two minutes. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill led an impressive two minute drive that allowed the Dolphins to tie the game at 20-20 and send the game into overtime. Then Cameron Wake did the rest and became the hero of the game.
The 4-4 Dolphins head to Tampa Bay next Monday night to take on the 0-7 Buccaneers.
