MOVE SAYS $5.4 MILLION IN CAP SPACE
According to multiple reports, the Dolphins have released veteran cornerback Dimitri Patterson. The move will save the Dolphins $5.4 million in cap space and the team will now enter Tuesday's start to free agency with over $40 million total in space.
Patterson played well for the Dolphins last season when he was healthy, and the problem is, he was hardly ever healthy. He only played in 6 games, but still was able to haul in 4 interceptions. It is possible that Patterson could return to the Dolphins at a later date with a reduced contract.
