Rushing attack leads the way to a victory
The Miami Dolphins running game has been a question mark as the team heads into the regular season. The Dolphins running backs showed they had some answers on Saturday night as they powered the Dolphins to a 25-20 home victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Knowshon Moreno debuted in his first preseason game since his knee surgery and he looked to be in midseason form by rushing for 64 yards on 10 carries. Undrafted free agent running back Orleans Darkwa had a spectacular night , rushing for a touchdown and 70 yards on 6 carries. Wide receiver Damien Williams caught a 54 yard pass from quarterback Matt Moore in the second half to help spark the offense.
The Dolphins first team defense also had a strong outing, limiting the Cowboys to 110 yards a two field goals in the first half. Cam Wake (2 sacks) and Olivier Vernon (1 sack) had solid performances up front. The Dolphins play their final preseason game on Thursday versus the St. Louis Rams at Sun Life Stadium.
