This is is Dolphins fans; the last game of the REGULAR SEASON. In years past that would have been a relief. The team could start to plan for who they want to acquire in the offseason through free agency and who to draft in April, however that is not the case this year. Miami is headed to the PLAYOFFS! But first they have to get past the Cheatriots, I mean Patriots this week when they roll into Miami to take on the Dolphins at home.
The up side is Miami has beaten the Pats the past three seasons when playing at home. The downside is the Pats are playing for home field advantage through the playoffs. Seeing as how the Pats stumbled last year in the same week to allow Denver home field advantage it is likely they are going to playing very tough in order to secure that advantage. That's not to say the game is meaningless for Miami either. The Dolphins will be playing just as tough because if they can win they have a chance at the number five seed so long as Kansas City loses as well. So this game looks to be very competitive.
Miami is going to have to play very high style of offense in order to win because Miami's defense has not been too reliable the past couple of weeks. The Patriots are most likely going to score often so Adam Gase and company are going to have to game plan extremely well to take advantage of New England's defense in order to out score the Patriots.
What do you think? Can the Dolphins beat the Patriots at home and hopefully secure a better playoffs spot? Tell us what you think on the main forums!
