Giants roll in to Miami this week for a Monday Night showdown. Not just any Monday night game. Miami is celebrating its 50th year in the NFL by wearing a uniform designed after the 1966 uniform.

Hopefully Miami has the luck of the classic Dolphins teams shining on them Monday and bring home a win.

    Defense Stands Strong

The Miami Dolphins defeated the Baltimore Ravens 15-13 in what could be described as an ugly win but that's the way head coach Dan Campbell likes it. Earlier this week Campbell emphasized he wanted balance on offense with a heavy rush workload. Newly promoted play call Zac Taylor delivered. Lamar Miller led the way with an effective 20 carries on 113 yards. The results didn't produce many points as the only score on offense came from a 38 yard touchdown reception by rookie wide receiver DeVante Parker.

The star of the day was the defensive unit, Despite giving up long drives to the Ravens, they were able to come away with big stops that yielded few points. Derrick Shelby added to the scoreboard with a amazing 22 yard interception for a touchdown. Reshad Jones continued on his path to excellence with another key interception. It's unknown if Miami will continue their new smash mouth approach going forward but it is very clear this team wins games when they do.
