AFC East Continues To Stifle Philbin
The Miami Dolphins were pummeled in the most lopsided home opener in team history. The Buffalo Bills dominated on all sides of the ball giving the Dolphins a bruising 41-14 loss. It's hard to find an area for the Dolphins that displayed an inkling of a team that many expected to be top contender in the AFC. Instead the frustrated home crowd was witness to a team that was unprepared and undisciplined and the fans probably got more enjoyment seeing what was on the new menus amidst Dolphins recently renovated stadium.
The Dolphins were unable to get anything going in the first half similar to the first two games. In the meantime Buffalo walked all over the Dolphins. The second half wasn't much different. At times, It seemed as if the Dolphins had no interest in the scoreboard and were sticking to their game plan despite being bullied on both sides of the ball. It felt almost like a preseason game, no adjustments when it mattered. Joe Philbin is in his 4th year and there is no sign of improvement heading towards game four. The same deficiencies that have haunted Miami over Philbin's tenure are still there. Poor game planning, scheming and personnel decisions continue to be thorn in Miami's side and the coach and coordinators don't have an answer. It's time for someone to be held accountable, the fans deserve better.
