Raped woman falsely accuses ex

A woman who falsely accused her ex-boyfriend of rape was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday for committing perjury.

Prosecutors said Rebecca Harland identified her attacker as Scott Smith to get back at him because he had left her for another woman.

Harland, 33, was convicted on four counts of perjury for lying to a grand jury when she falsely identified Smith as the man who had raped her in 1999.

there is such a hypocricy (sp?) between crimes of men vs. women. the other day in tampa, the school teacher got 3 years probation for having sex with a 14 year old. if i were to do that i would get 10 years in the pin, give me a break!
