Friends and countrymen...
Yesterday played witness to a great event in Dolphins history. It was not the monumental feat that was a Super Bowl, or an undefeated season, no, it was more humble than that - but great nonetheless.
Yes, yesterday, the humble, lame duck Miami Dolphins went to Foxboro Stadium - in January and trounced.. soundly defeated.. well.. won, versus the NFL's darling New England Patriots. They did so under incredible adversity, no less - The unfriendly crowd - The unfriendly weather - The threat of catching the gay from a certain quarterback.. yes, the Dolphins, who had nothing to gain, but respect did verily owneth thine Patriots most astoundingly up the posterior.
Some of you may know a fine, upstanding gent named Keenan, a co-worker of ours. His cousin is the wide receivers coach for the Patriots, and as such, he owes no small amount of loyalty to the team. He loves, like all Patriots fans and football commentators, to gloat smugly of his team's success. He always has some snappy thing to say about Tom Brady, or rings, or something.
But wait.. Keenan.. your Pats.. they lost.. at home to.. THE DOLPHINS?!
Who's laughing now? That's right. The Finheaven crew. Ha ha. "Your first string beat our third string, and we're going to the playoffs.", he'll say. That's what Patriots fans do. They're delusional. So delusional, in fact, that we felt the need to, in his absence, give him some motivational material, so that he may see the aqua and coral colored light.
Behold: Keenan's desk!
