View Full Version : Do you guys have your consoles on a wireless network?

I am looking into getting a wireless network set up for my 360 and was wondering what the most cost effective method would be.

I don't want to sacrafice connectivity speed, so I was gonna go with a 802.11G 108mbps router.......I found this one at Circuit City:

Now, to connect to my 360, the MS option is to buy the xbox wireless adapter, which retails for $100. I also saw a wireless game adapter by D-Link in CompUSA for $99. Both seemed too pricy.

After some searching, I came across the below Ethernet Bridge:

It's refurbished......but for $48 it seems like a good deal.

Does anyone see any obvious holes in my plan.....or think there is a better option?

I have a playstation 2 which i hooked up to my LAN using the US Robotics 802.11G adapter. It works great now that its setup, but i have to say it was a total pain in the *** setting up the WEP Key. Just logging into the adapter was the main source of my pain. You have to plug it into your pc's ethernet adaper and this would only work like 1 in 10 times. Now that it works, I don't see any more lag than normal. My router is the linksys WRTG54.

i have my ps2 set up on a linksys wireless system with a wireless g set up, works great!

Can someone post a link that gives detailed instructions on how to set up my PS2 on a wireless network. I am not that great with computers and I have no idea on what I need, where to get it and how to set it up. I cannot wait to get back to blowing out folks in Madden

the old xbox wireless adapter works for the 360 also. that's what i am using. the only difference with the new one is it adds like 802.11a or something.

The old XBox adapter was 802.11b/g (i think) so it would work.
