I used to go when I lived in Miami. Tons of food from all over Latin America, music galore, people waving national flags, conga lines.
Some nice memories: they have sound stages all along the road once they had two very close to each other. One was set along Calle Ocho and the other off a side street, but you could see one from the other and they were trying to out-loud each other.
Another year when I was walking along and all of a sudden someone grabbed my hips from behind and we conga-ed. Then there was another line approaching head on from the opposite direction. It was suffocating to be caught in the middle.:chuckle:

Meh, I've been there every year... Plus 2 chicks I mess with was gonna be there. There's always that chance I run into one while talking to the other (be it a small chance in the thousands of people there)... It's still a chance. The Mor's luck would have just that happen.

I normally try to stay as far away from 8th street as I possibly can......unless I'm in the need for an inexpensive motel that you pay for by the hour :D

I should have definately gone. About 100,000 hot girls up in there FOR SURE just waiting to be hollered at. Best calle ocho story: 2 of my boys were walking to one of their houses which is walking distance from the festival...on the way, they start talking to 2 drunken birdbrains from the hood...bla, bla, bla...they go in the alley of those women's house and (NO LIE) both of them got their bang-bang on all drunk. Not proud of them, but a calle 8 story none the less.

I went. With a lot of friends too. No problems this year, although people fainted. I had fun. I saw people perform etc. Good time all around.
