hey all. i remember when the new version of firefox came out, there was a thread about it. inside somebody posted some ways to alter the script and speed up the browser.
i dont think the page list goes back that far 'cause i couldnt find the original thread. i had to reinstall firefox, so if anyone here knows how to do it, please post it here to help a fellow PH addict out and anyone else who may have missed it.
thanks

I went to this thread to speed up my FF (I need to do it again) however when I type config into my browser as directed, I am redirected to a mozilla website. Can anyone help?

Any more and you may get banned from the site visited, as it may be viewed as DOS attack. Try a higher value say upto 32 but be prepared to lower the value if sites fail to load.
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer.
Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0.
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.
If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages 2-3 times faster now, even if a dial-up connection it will still be faster than before.

I have been having horrible problem with Firefox and Camino on Mac. Often...(a few times a week), the program will lock up and go into a 'thinking mode' and not come out of it.
I am beginning to dislike Firefox LOTS
