Strengths: Former TE with tremendous upside due to his combination of size and athletic ability. He possesses good height, adequate bulk and quick feet. Shows impressive body control and balance. Shows good quickness and overall mobility. Is able to reach the second-level on time as a run blocker and stays under control when seeking out the moving target. He gets set quickly in pass pro. A natural knee bender. Shows the lateral mobility to mirror and slide versus athletic speed rushers. He has added bulk and still has room to improve his lower body mass. Is intelligent and hard working. Made strides with experience as a senior. Seems very "coachable" and is the type that works hard enough to make the necessary improvements in order to compete at the next level.

Weaknesses: Lacks ideal experience at OT. Technique needs much work, particularly footwork and hand-placement. Lacks ideal awareness and will struggle to recognize blitzes and stunts quickly enough. Lacks explosive power. Needs to improve his lower body strength and become more effective as a drive blocker. Durability is somewhat of a concern after back and ankle injuries in college.

Overall: Toledo spent his first three seasons (2002-'04) at the tight end position before moving to offensive tackle as a senior in 2005. He played mostly as a reserve in 2002 and started three games in 2003 before suffering a bulging disk in his back. He returned to start seven of 10 games at tight end in 2002 and finished with 19 receptions for 202 yards and two touchdowns. Toledo won the starting left tackle job prior in the 2005 preseason but injured his ankle in the opener versus Air Force and wound up sitting out the next five contests. He returned as a starter for the final five games of his senior season, starting three at right tackle and the final two at left tackle. Toledo is an intriguing mid-round developmental prospect in the 2006 draft class. He is extremely raw and will need more time and coaching attention than most other tackle prospects in this year's crop. However, the former tight end possesses an impressive blend of size and athletic ability. Toledo warrants consideration in the fourth or fifth round range for NFL teams that are in a position where they can afford to see this project through.
