Okay, so I've been fighting with ImageReady for awhile now. Whats the easiest way to convert a short .mpeg file to an animated .gif?

Okay, so I've been fighting with ImageReady for awhile now. Whats the easiest way to convert a short .mpeg file to an animated .gif?
whenever I use Image ready it only wants to save the image as a psd, so I cant use it anywhere. I just quit trying:D
