So I'm watching a video of Dave Lombardo (Slayer) playing 'Battery' with Metallica. Then as I'm reading the Lombardo vs. Lars comments afterwards, I run into this gem:


It should've been Lars - not Burton.

That is actually hilarious. Lars Ulrich....THE most overrated drummer in music....perhaps ever.

The guy can barely keep time.

Dude, watching that video really drives home how much Lars holds them back live nowdays.

Lars is still a damn good drummer. But when you're talking about playing live....today....he can't keep up with the rest of the band. I've been hearing it for years now. He just doesn't have the stamina.

Lombardo screws up a few times (it's not his band, sue him), but his double bass is predictably perfect.

I've never liked Lars Ulrich, honestly I'd probably like Metallica a lot more if they had a better drummer.
