Really really interesting, personally I believe in life other than ours in the universe, although I think that the discovery and proof of it would shake the foundation opf mos peoples beliefs

There have been numerous reports over the years that several astronauts and cosmonauts have seen UFO's while in space. NASA has two audio feeds during shuttle missions one that is semi public and one that is heavily encrypted. There have been a few transmissions over the years between astronauts and Control where they start to talk about something that they see and the transmission is quickly switched to the more secure channel.

NASA also has a video feed and some of the images caught on tape are amazing.

This clip seems to show an object moving in Earths atmosphere and quickly changing directions and speeding out of the frame, right before (what appears to be) a missle is fired at it. Notice the flash in the bottom left hand corner.

Here's my question...Why is it that these aliens are always smarter than us? While I am very interested, and would not be surprised if there was other life outside of ours, it is interesting that they are always depicted as smarter than us.

For all we know that alien ship may have been loligagging around...dum de dum de doo...and here comes a missle. "Oh s***....Homer, wake up..there be a missle coming at us!"

Seriously though, I think the depcition of other life being superior is a statement about our feeling lacking as humans.

Well, we have trouble sending unmanned craft to the moon and other planets. Any civilization that can travel light years in a short period of time and can defy the law of gravity, I think they may have one over on us. :wink:

Do we have the technology to find and explore other planets with life on them? No. It's a pretty simple matter of critical reasoning that aliens who have this technology must be smarter than we are.

Yes, but overall, where is the smarts in trying to penetrate Earth's atmosphere? And why shoot off so quickly when we "launch a missle?" If they are smarter, wouldn't they prepare a little better, instead of just flying towards us? That is why I wonder, "why are we always depicted as the inferior, why do we see ourselves as vulnerable?" Again, I think it's because we want to see something bigger than us. I believe this also relates to why we believe in God. Many humans want to know there is something bigger, better.
