Jets own the 2nd round pick for the deadskins in 2007.
I know. It was a 3rd round pick in 2007.

Denver will get Redskins 3rd Rounder, Skins get TJ Duckett from ATL, and of course ATL get the prize WR they've been trying to get forever. This is just reported by NFL Live as they replay the Buff\Cinn preseason game..so no link..just a TV flash.

Conditional picks can't get any more stupider than this.
It's like a bad bet where the Redskins will lose either way, just one way harder than the other: "If you win more games than we do, we give you a third rounder plus a first rounder; but if we win more games than you did, you get a third round pick plus a fourth rounder."
Just what the hell were they thinking? I wonder if the Redskins will even remember making this trade tommorow morning; they are obviously on some lethal drugs.

I can't figure out why more teams don't try to trade with the redskins.
SABAN get on it their 08 picks are still up for grabs.

The skins traded their 2nd to move up in the draft to draft Rocky. The 4th went to the 9ers for Loyd and they just traded their 3rd.
Hey Wanstach is that you? :goof:

ESPN said it was only a 3rd. I don't think anyoen would trade more than that for Duckett. Certainly not 2 first day picks.

Wrong. ESPN said that at first but then they changed their reports to reflect the news about multiple picks.
sounds like it would be a swap of 1st rounders in the Broncos have a better record and if not they get a 4th rounder in 2008.
Looks like they gave up only a 3rd rounder...
NFL.com wire reports
ATLANTA (Aug. 22, 2006) -- The Atlanta Falcons traded running back T.J. Duckett to the Washington Redskins as part of a three-team deal and acquired holdout receiver Ashley Lelie from the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos received Washington's third-round pick in the 2007 draft as part of the deal, according to two officials within the league who spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade had not been officially announced.
Also, does this mean that the Redskins think that C.Portis' injury may linger on into the season?
that's what I said, yeah. They wouldn't have done this if Portis was going to be completely ready right away.
Until now, the Falcons rushing attack was referred to by the acronym DVD (Duckett-Vick-Dunn). I guess now it's just VD. As apropos a name as any, considering who's playing quarterback...
