Adventure: King Kong, Lord of the Rings trilogy
Comedy: Recently it would be Wedding Crashers. (Animal House is great. I recently bought it on DVD and watched it for the first time in years)
Coming of Age film: Stand By Me
Horror: Halloween, Friday the 13th
Goofy 80's movies: The Breakfast Club, Weird Science
I could go on and on. I'm a huge movie fan. Gotta give mention to Forrest Gump. Not sure what category to put that movie in because it had so much of everything in it.

The Field of Dreams and Dances with Wolves. Funny how Kevin Costner played the lead role in both, because I couldn't stand him in Robin Hood.
Star Trek VIII, First Contact, the best in the series.

I usually answer this question by thinking about what movie would have to come on tv for me to stop everything and watch it, no matter what I was doing. The answer usually comes back Back To The Future.

Well, I don't watch many movies but the ones I can watch over and over again are Stand by Me, A Christmas Story, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. As for Stand By Me I love that movie, I like other movies but that movie transcends what movies can even be.

It's hard to tell if he means Casablanca. I just spent 20 minutes looking for a dirty film modeled after Casablanca. Figures.
