Now with Pinner, it said Minnesota had claimed Pinner. It didn't say if he's on the active roster or P.S. If he's on the P.S., we could claim him but he'd have to go on our active roster, correct?

I don't think you can "claim" players to the practice squad.

I believe they must first clear waivers before being placed on a practice squad.

Pinner is not eligble to be on practice squad and yes you can sign people from there PS but then you have to put them on you regular roster
