not bad...the only thing i dont like is the text and the main pic looks like bad quality...i would try some pic effects...

here is what i would do...

get the original cut...
duplicate it 2 times...desaturate the top one and set it to soft light...
or
duplicate it 4 times... desaturate the bottom 3...set the top to Overlay then the one after that to color dodge 50% opacity...then the one after that to multiply 30% opacity...and the last one leave normal...see what one looks the best

Thanks JT, much apprecitated.

On this one I made two copies. Bottom is orig. Middle I shapended twice, style lighten. Top gausian blur, set on lighten.

I changed the brightness/contrast of the render after merging the 3 above layers.

I then changed the curves of the same layer.

Then, finally I added a lighting effect on it.

I personally like the way it came out, it looks unique, like out of a movie poster or something.

I will definetly try your methods, and once again, thank you for sharing.
