I Need Dead Rising Help! ***spoiler for those who haven't completed the final case***

I am on case 8.3, and I can beat Larry the Butcher, but I cannot beat him until about 10:30 or 11:00pm. I am supposed to be at Carlito's hideout by 10(not including the grace period). What can I do? How much time do they allow you to be late for a case? Do I have till 11pm or 12am ?? I would hate to have to start over. Any help/advice/cheats or time tricks would be appreciated.
