i always thought mondays were days to look at the game film and all that stuff

Yeah your right and most teams get Tuesdays off.

i think it is better that way, see the film analyze it then take a day off and then get back to work

Every team that plays on Sunday and then the following Sunday in the NFL has the identical schedule:

Monday - film session
Tuesday - Off
Wed.-Fri. - Three Days of Regular Practice
Saturday - Walk through practice; Travel (if necessary); final meetings Sat night.

If they play on MNF, then they typically start full practice on Thursday instead of Wednesday.
