Nevermore vs. Sanctuary

Ok, fans of either or both bands, which of Warrel/Jim Sheppard's acts did you prefer?

I'm a bit torn...I prefer the guitar work in Nevermore (well, from the first three Nevermore albums at least, not the mediocre last 3), but Warrel's vocals were far superior in the Sanctuary days. Now he warbles in strained fashion and has no sense of dynamics at all...he even screams ballads.

I kind of lean towards Nevermore due to the godly Politics of Ecstacy and Dreaming Neon Black.

I just wish Enemies of Reality and Dead Heart in a Dead World didn't happen. I miss the post-thrash riffs. although I did like Godless Endeavor to some degree.

i think both are awful but at least Nevermore has some cool riffs occasionally.
