Yeah thats right my 360 scratched the game to living hell now its unplayble at the moment. The damn console leaves a heavy smudge on all my cd's and its pissing me off.

Kinda the same with my bro's 360. It also makes a god awful loud noise when he plays games. He's only had it for a month too so I hope it doesn't get worse.

Yeah, the same with my friend who just picked up a 360.
Sadly, his 360 is twice as loud as my gaming PC with 2 processors, 2 hard drives, and a video card the size of Texas.

i would take it back then, mine isn't that loud, and doesn't scratch games (or smudge them)

360 scratches every game. I traded my ****ed up 2k7 to Game Stop back when they were still taking $30 for it. I now have NBA 2k7 for PS3, and there's not a single smudge on it...........

you should be able to get it replaced, have you called Microsoft to tell them of your problem?

Ive also heard that if you have your 360 set up vertically you seem to have more issues with it (scratching). I have mine set up horizontally and haven't had any issues thus far.

Yea, I have no issues with mine at all, and it is horizontal.

I dont know why but it leaves these blotches on my cd that light shade of grey. Its pretty bad, I have my 360 horizontal, I did have it Vertically for awhile but switched to horizontal.

Try it horizontal AND upside down.

I have mine vertical and have had no problems...I heard it cools better in the vertical position because it vents better (more surface area exposed)

Yeah man, I'm like "you need to turn up the tv so you can drown out the xbox360 noise."

if your xbox 360 is on and gets moved with a game in it...it ruins the game permanately.
NEVER MOVE YOUR XBOX 360 WHILE IT'S ON...luckily it happened to a game I was renting. haha.

Thats some weird stuff bro.
Light shade of grey? I have no idea what that is or how a CD player can even do that.
