If you could have 3 players from each team in the divsion who would you take? Like I am saying not on your favorite team but what 3 players from the rival teams would you want? I am a Jets fan so I will go first and pick from the Dolphins, Pats, Bills.
Dolphins-Jason Taylor, Ronnie Brown, Zach Thomas
Pats-Richard Seymour, Tom Brady, Asante Samuel
Bills-Lee Evans, Jason Peters, Dante Whitner.
So you guys decide which 3 you would take from each team in the divsion.

Excellent thread.
Jets-Vilma, Coles, Thomas Jones
Vilma would come in and start, Coles would take place as the #2 or #3 reciever and Thomas Jones would combine with Maroney to make a nice 1-2 punch.
Bills-Lee Evans, Posluszny and JP Losman.
Evans would be a starter, Posluszny will be for depth in 2007 and be groomed as Bruschi's replacement and Losman takes Matt Cassell's spot as the backup QB.
Dolphins-Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Ronnie Brown.
Taylor starts on the other side of Seymour to create one of the best 3 man defensive lines ever, Thomas rotates with Bruschi and Seau and Brown combines with Maroney to create a thunder/lightening type duo.

For 07 team needs/depth.
Pats - Samual, Wilfork, Koppen
Jets - Vilma, Rhodes, Cotchery
Miami - Chambers, Porter, Martin
In order that Bills need to fill holes and create depth,(As I see it) .....Samual, Cotchery, Wilfork, Vilma, Chambers, Rhodes, Koppen, Martin, Porter.

3 players to pick to start?
If so,
Dolphins - Jason Taylor, Ronnie Brown, and Zach Thomas
JT because he could start opposite Schobel and we would have an amazing DE combo. Lynch and Brown could have a 1-2 punch. Zach Thomas could tutor Posluszny (our LB corps would be like this, Posluszny, Thomas, Crowell)
Jets - Andre Dyson, D'Brick, and Nick Mangold
Dyson because we could definitley use another CB. D'brick could start opposite of Peters and we could have a great young Oline for years to come (I'm not too sure about Langston Walker yet). Nick Mangold just because I think he could become a great center
Patsies - Donte Stallworth, Ben Watson, and Vince Wilfork
Stallworth because then we could have a great WR corp with Evans and him. (I don't want Moss because he takes too many plays off). Ben Watson because this guy is a freak at TE. He is fast, so he can stretch the seam. Royal could be our blocking TE, with Watson as our receiving threat. Wilfork because he would be our much needed run-stopper on our team
Our starting lineup would be like this then
QB: JP Losman
RB: Lynch/Brown
FB: None
WR: Lee Evans
WR: Donte Stallworth
TE: Ben Watson
LT: Jason Peters
LG: Derrick Dockery
C: Mangold/Fowler
RG: Langston Walker
RT: D'brickashaw Ferguson (11)
LE: Jason Taylor
DT: Larry Tripplett
DT: Vince Wilfork
RE: Aaron Schobel
WLB: Angelo Crowell
MLB: Zach Thomas
SLB: Paul Posluszny
CB: Terrence McGee
SS: Donte Whitner
FS: Ko Simpson
CB: Andre Dyson (11)
P: Brian Moorman
K: Rian Lindell

I think you would be better off taking Tom Brady for that team. Nothing against Losman but he's definitely more of a sure deal.

Me personally I would have Jason Peters play RT, and Ferguson play LT. I dont know how good of a run blocker Peters is, but Ferguson is a much better pass blocker then run blocker. And I dont think that Ferguson would play RT on any team, unless you have a left handed QB.

Peters is a pretty good run-blocker and pass-blocker. He played very well at RT the first half of last season, so I guess he could play there again.
And we got Peters as a UFA :D

Well I'm guessing I'd be adding to the Dolphins line-up.
So I would want from the Pats:
Asante Samuel, Vince Wilfork, and Tom Brady(I feel sick for saying that).
From the Jets:
Jonathen Vilma(Zach can't play forever), Kerry Rhodes, D'Brickshaw Ferguson(him and Carey at T)
From the Bills:
Lee Evans for sure, Whitner, and Peters(well I guess find a way to get him Ferguson and Carey on the field at the same time).
I think the WR corp could be pretty damm great just by adding Evans to what we got.

Pats: Brady, Samuel, Watson
Brady is a no-brainer. Samuel would be the lock-down CB we need. Watson would upgrade our TE position.
Jets: Mangold, Ferguson, Rhodes
Mangold and Ferguson would complete our OL. We could start Ferguson - Satele - Mangold - Hadnot - Carey. Rhodes would come in and start at S.
Bills: Evans, Lynch, Whitner
Evans is another no-brainer. Our WRs would then be Evans - Chambers - Booker - Hagan - Ginn. Lynch and Booker would be good depth behind Ronnie. Whitner would give us another S in this scenario. We'd have Rhodes - Whitner - Bell - Hill. Great depth there.
This scenario would upgrade our weaknesses (OL, secondary, TE) and complete our offense (WR, RB depth). Not to mention add Brady.
Nice topic.
