It's actually a pretty decent site. I don't like the Jake Long pick, but I understand it. I don't know much about Porter, but Woodson would be great value at the bottom of Round 2. Bennett is a great talent who, opposite Ginn, would be another big play threat. When Bennett had Cutler throwing to him, he was the most dangerous receiver in the SEC. Vanderbilt beat Tennessee in Knoxville (for the first time in 30 or so years) on a 4th quarter drive where Cutler basically just kept chucking the ball to Bennett, who just could not be covered and even when he was still came down with the ball. I would be thrilled if we picked him.

I like the site, but I'm not crazy about this version of the mock. It's not that bad, though. Unlike most I'm for Jake Long at #1, looks like he's gaining a little momentum, too. Dorsey is a great player, JLong is a better fit. If we can trade down and take JLong, that's aces in my book.

Jake Long? No thanks, not unless we trade down 5-8 spots
Tracy Porter: Is a 5-11 185 lb CB who Wont go first day much less first round (as our 2-1 really is a first rounder)
Andre Woodson is an absolute project, and A: We already have one and b: isnt any better than what we have
Earl Bennett is a nice player, I will give you that, but I think this is a bit early, and we have far-greater needs
Dre moore is a big-body, but not very athletic and will be a few years out at best at DT (Not to mention I think I remember hearing character issues)
Bryan Kehl-LB from BYU would be a nice special teamer, nothing more
Shannon Tevega-Could be a nice backup Olineman. Not a bad pick
Zero chance we go Offense with 2 of the first three picks..No chance we dont take SERIOUS steps to stop the run (Wasnt addressed what-so-ever). No chance we DONT take a TE at all...
Sorry, but I think some of these "Guru's" throw names into a hat and pick randomly

I think that the Draft Tek pics are computer generated. It's just a mock draft, don't have a thrombo over it.

-Gotcha...Not really irrate or anything, just pointing em out. Yeah, I could see that being a computer generated draft then.
BTW: What in the world is a thrombo :sidelol:

Everyone has their opinions, and clearly you have yours. I never said I wanted Jake Long. I just said I understand it. I'm not sure what is wrong with Porter's size, and you forgot to mention that he has 4.38 speed. I think every QB in this draft is a "prospect." That doesn't mean Woodson isn't a bargain at the bottom of Round 2. I am a Beck supporter, but it remains to be seen whether Parcells/Ireland/Sparano feel the same way.
I wouldn't be thrilled with this draft at all, but I think it addresses the majority of our issues in a fairly rational manner (aside from TE where I agree with you . . . we would clearly have to address that somewhere). As was said, the site is a computer simulation taking into account data from several other draft sites along with information supplied by fans of each team. It serves best as a simple guideline to the possible draft strategies of teams (and how that effects where players might fall).

I like your mock. I still prefer Big Jake Long, though.

Lobo, Porter should certainly be a 2nd rounder, but #32 may be a bit high for him. He's a 3rd rounder at worst unless his combine is really bad compared to what is expected.

I Disagree completely. The draft is WAAYY to deep at CB to project him in as a 2nd rounder. I have seen him as low at 10th CB coming out..and as much as I dislike Cason because of his size, he is a giant compared to Porter
BTW 3rd round is second day now Pete:up:

sometimes I just can't put into words the physical size of jake long.
it's just hard to comprehend how one human can be such a giant.
what a mammoth.

Dre Moore wont be there in round 4. Most likely would be picked late 2nd. to 3rd round.

Porter is definatly a 2nd round pick, but 32 is probably too high. In terms of contributing players, not a bad draft at all. But we could also do a lot better

Earl Bennett will be long gone by the third. I would feel like we hit the lottery if we get him there though :)
