Not long ago a boy in my daughter's class at school was at the doctor for a routine visit. Something led the doctor to believe that something else was going on. After testing the child it was discovered that he had a small tumor on his brain. He went through all the treatments necessary for a cancer patient. As always everyone hopes and prays for the best in all these situations and especially when a child is involved.
Last night he laid down to sleep watching his favorite cartoon. He didn't wake up. He passed away in his sleep.
Alex was 8.
Please never take life for granted because we just don't know how long we have. Treat everyone with the kindness as you would expect to be treated.
Above all else make sure to hug your kids and tell them you love them!
Make them the most important part of your life. :)
