A Kansas City radio station, 610 Sports, reported earlier this evening, that the Chiefs have offered Pats V.P. of player personnel Scott Pioli the job of general manager. However, the station cites sources who claim there are two major sticking points the sides are still haggling over: money and control over football operations.


KC, please make this happen! I think Pioli's ability to bring in talent has as much to do with the Pats success as Belicheat.

Pioli ending up in KC is a mixed blessing, IMO, for the Fins. I agree it well might help to weaken the Patriots intrastructure and we do play them 2X/yr vs. once most years for KC (?). So that's a dual net gain.

On the downside, if *shudder* the team sale goes through, if Parcells chose to leave, the Jest would look more attractive now since he wouldn't have to compete against BOTH his son-in-law and his Fins homeys. That concerns me.
