I try to be impartial until I know the facts, but Chris Brown's silence is deafening. He definitely is the one that beat her up real bad and his life is in turmoil.

Now I'm not saying Rihanna was innoncent in all of this . . . I'm sure she pissed him off after he received a text message from a next chick. But the way he pounded on her is no excuse . . . and I tend to side with some of the rumors that he may be on some sort of steroid, causing the temper and flare ups.

I think they are trying to get him on a attempted murder charge, but it will more than like stick with felony domestic assault.

The key will be Rihanna and what she decides to do. I doubt she ever goes back to him . . . but I think preaching him to get locked up will be just as bad for her . . . she should just let **** happen, and continue on with her life and career.

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person," Brown said in the statement released Sunday evening.

"Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong," the statement said. "While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. That is a pretty pathetic "apology" if that is the case. He pretty much admitted to beating her up by not saying I am Innocent. So if that is the case, why not extend some sort of apology towards Rihanna . . . he didn't even address her. I dunno, I'm still not sold on the whole story being out there, but a statement that doesn't say I am innocent but says I am "seeking" counseling . . . is a mouthful IMO.

photo that appears to be Rihanna's face with bruises, scratches and swelling from an attack allegedly at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown was posted Thursday night by the celebrity Web site TMZ.

The close-up image shows a welt above each of the woman's eyebrows, marks on her cheek and around her lips, and general swelling. TMZ did not say how it obtained the photo, when it was taken or by whom.

The Los Angeles Police Department announced it was investigating the leak shortly after the photos were posted Thursday evening. On Friday, Chief William Bratton said his department is conducting an internal investigation, but also a criminal conspiracy case that could result in up to three years in prison.

“It as an embarrassment to this department,” Bratton said. He said the agency believes a department employee leaked the photo, and that the department is working to quickly complete separate investigations into Rihanna’s beating and the photo’s leak.
