Marijuana use and reckless driving are interconnected, say Canadian researchers.

"We observed that dangerous driving behaviors are interrelated. Individuals scoring high on impulsivity or sensation-seeking scales demonstrated an elevated risk of driving under the influence of cannabis," study senior author Jacques Bergeron, a professor in the department of psychology at the Universite de Montreal, said in a school news release.

no one ever smokes and says 'hey, let's go out a drive really fast.' it's more like 'hey, let's go to the drive thru and make sure every possible traffic law is abided by because anything out of the ordinary might just freak me out.'

haven't smoked in some time - but in the ten plus years that i did - that was my experience.

Correlation does not equal causation. This study proves nothing; there have been no demonstrable studies showing that Cannabis impairs driving skills, this study simply assumes it does.

You're kidding me, right? Something that alters your mental state like pot doesn't impare your driving skills? I personally don't give a rat's *** if people want to smoke pot but don't try to pretend pot doesn't impare driving skills.

Okay, so show me an actual study showing it does. Not just "they smoke pot occasionally" but actually while they're on the drug.

THC did not impair driving performance yet the subjects thought it had
