As some of you know, I am on a quest to get back into the military (TXARNG). I was digging through my documents to find my DD214 to take to the recruiter's tomorrow and found some old pics of me waaaaaay back in the day.

This was Kuwait in 1996. Intrinsic Action deployment when Sadaam ran his tanks up to the border (again). Notice the Olive Drab vehicles....In the desert....Oddly enough, our home station vehicles were painted tan....But we wore green BDUs...In the desert, the vehicles are painted green, but we wore desert BDUs......

and my knees and back aren't bad from jumping out of airplanes ;)

If you look at the second picture, that's the max height I ever jumped from. And that was only once when I was responding to a real world casualty; Kuwaiti Soldier that passed out. I rammed a 10 gauge IV into his intern's vein. My best stick ever...That ****ing needle was HUGE man.

The CO had to look away and the 1SG told me he almost threw up. :lol:

My son Travis is going into the TXARNG as a 13B Cannon Crewmember it looks like. He's right about your age. I got confirmed that I could join...But I don't have to go back to basic :whew!: I just go for 3 weeks of MOS Qual trainging in San Antonio. I'm going bac in as an 11B Infantryman.

What's your MOS? Do you know where your're going to be stationed? BTW, any questions you have about the Army I'll be happy to answer.
