It was time for Bobby to leave five years ago.

Sounds like it'll be the Jimbo Show next year..regardless of Bowden's decision.

sad that he might be forced out by freakin trustees - but it's been about that time for a while now. if his presence is no longer getting the recruits - he's not serving his purpose - b/c we all know he stopped 'coaching' a long time ago. this was not handled that good by FSU IMO - this should've been done behind closed doors - very disrespectful to someone whose been coaching there for decades and decades.

According to ESPN, FSU isn't going to ask him to step down:

Spin control...It's going to get messy I'm afraid.
The NCAA ruling on his victories will have alot to do with how
messy it gets.

As someone stated earlier, Bobby should have left five years ago. The old man doesn't have it anymore, and is pretty much just a figurehead at this point. The guy looks so clueless on the sidelines, it's sad when you know that this guy actually used to be a good coach. Good for FSU for wanting to move on, the school needs to realize that the longer they hang onto Bobby the longer the program will be mired in mediocrity.

True..but the backlash from how they handle it could effect the school
for a long time,also.

Be that as it may, but it appears that Bobby doesn't want to leave anytime soon. Jimbo Fisher can't be the "coach in waiting" for forever. If it means forcing the old man out, then that's what it has to be.

Hey X..
Check this out...Been hearing alot of rumblings out of Ga. about
Mark Richt's inability to get Ga.to the next level.
If something happens to Mark at Ga. in the next couple of years.
Jimbo's reign as head coach at Fla. State WILL be short.

Interesting. FSU's offense certainly hasn't been the same since Richt left.
