We need to draft a CB

I know we have a lot of needs this offseason, but to rely on Sean Smith another season is going to make me go crazy. This post isn't about his ability to cover, but about his ability to tackle. The only CB that has been able to get away with not being able to tackle is Deion Sanders. Last time I checked SS is no Deion. Smith is the most pathetic excuse for a football player, in regards to tackling, I have seen in a long time. He is almost saying, with his body language, that if I hold on to the guy maybe someone else can come bring him down. I was very high on him when we drafted him, but to say I am disappointed would be a big understatement. His lack, no absence, of physicality is really getting on my nerves.

mmm, no... we have much more pressing needs like LB, WR or FS
Sean Smith will be fine, he's played good for a rookie, of course he needs to improve in some areas but what rookie doesn't.
Picking a CB after having used two high picks last year in this position would be a waste. maybe a late rounder but defenitely not a high pick. A FA veteran would be ok but only if he comes cheap.

love watching perrish cox play.he impacts every game i've watched .if he fell to us in the 2nd he'd be hard to pass up even though cb isn't a pressing need.bpa. some people said we didn't need lbs after signing porter ,so we pass on willis and poz so fins end up with ginn and beck. still hurts to type it!
if we landed perrish it's goodbye ginger for whatever the market will bear. mcclain 1st- cox 2nd.grab some dl beef,an OLB and a guard-center hybrid and i'd be happy

The dude was a rookie for crying out loud; Imagine you wanted to start you're own business, a fast food joint called "DK's Dairy Farm" and right downt he road is a McDonalds. In your first year how successful would you be? Sean Smith was matched up with some good receivers all season and he got beat his fair share of times but there were also games when he held Reggie Wayne to 3 catches for 37 yards. Cornerback with Vontae Davis, Will Allen, and Sean Smith is the LEAST of our worries right now.

Get more consistant pressure on the QB = taking pressure off your CB's.

Get a couple of decent young OLB's & an ILB to replace Akin and you will see a world of improvement in your CB stats.

Sean Smith played great for a rookie... look at last week after andre johnsons TD sean did a very admiral job on him... not to mention it was nate jones who gave up the TD not Sean

I think Smith will be a great player, but he was mediocre at best this season. Whenever a deep ball was thrown his was, he kept running completely unaware of where the ball was. His tackling sucks too, but he can work on that during the offseason.

Cornerback is one of the toughest positions to learn, and the rules don't help them either. Both Smith and Davis will continue to get better. I think our starting 2 next year will be either: Vontae Davis and Will Allen or Vontae Davis and Sean Smith. I think Vontae is pretty much a lock, but that second spot will be up for grabs.

Davis and Smith are officially veteran CB's now. The safety position is the one that needs upgrading

you think sean smith tackles bad now...move him to free safety and ask him to be the last line of defense and support the run and see just how damn bad his tackling is

Why people expect every drafted player to be good or great at everything in their first year is amazing, truely amazing. Afterall CB is such an easy position to play he should be better!!!

We`re better then fine at CB we`re loaded with S.Smith, V.Davis, N.Jones and W.Allen. Let`s concentrate on OLB, ILB, NT and most important FS and watch S.Smith become a great cover corner.
