He's flexible: Pittsburgh tight end Dorin Dickerson (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. And now he has a couple of NFL tight ends that he admires--San Francisco's Vernon Davis (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. "Smaller-type tight ends. That’s what I classify myself as, a smaller receiving-type tight end," said the 6-foot-1, 224-pound player.
But Dickerson may bulk up a bit for his role in the NFL, adding 10 to 15 pounds to push his weight closer to 240.
“I think they’re going to look at me as a flex tight end," he said. "In the slot I’ll be used, and as a wing, all the H-back stuff.
"I think that’s how I’ll be used, but some teams might want me as a bigger receiver, I don’t know yet."
Dickerson has been drawing interest from the Cowboys, Cardinals

But he easily had the most impressive Combine in Saturday's tight end drills, resulting in comparisons to Jets 2008 first-round pick Dustin Keller.
The 6-foot-1, 226-pound former Panther ran an official 4.4-flat forty time (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. His 10-foot, five-inch broad jump and 24 reps of 225 pounds were similarly impressive.
Dickerson caught 49 passes for 529 yards and a Pitt-high 10 touchdowns as a senior, so he's got production to match. NFL Network's Mike Mayock wouldn't be surprised if Dickerson sneaks into the second round this April.

To me this kid is a WR & reminds me alot of David Martin who the Fins missed dearly this season. Mayock said teams were dicussing baout moving him to WR and I have to agree. Also why he cannot be moved to WR or why Pitt failed to put him at WR is beyond me. I'm hoping someone like CK or Boomer can answer this and fill us in. I have not heard if Miami is interested, but with our lack of a true pass catching TE I hope they are all over this kid. He is defitnetly someone to keep an eye on in the second round and I would personally pick ahead of Dexter McCluster. Remeber the name Dorin Dickerson his is defitnetly on my draft chart.
