The strong side linebacker market in the draft is lacking. That might explain why Rashad Jeanty seems like a viable option to compete for the Dolphins’ starting SLBer spot. As it presently stands, Cameron Wake and Charlie Anderson are positioned to be the Dolphins starting OLBers. If Jason Taylor re-signs then Wake and Anderson would likely share the strong side spot because Taylor will likely move to the weakside.
ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay said WR Dez Bryant often showed up late for practices and games. Teams are seriously concern about his “diva attitude.”
There’s A LOT of talk about Bryant’s background and behavior scaring off teams, and could prompt his stock to drop. Bryant was on with Big O yesterday to address some of that stuff.
The point is Bryant, who McShay says is the best receiver to enter the draft since Calvin Johnson and Andre Johnson, could be there for the Dolphins, who aren’t fond of “diva receivas.” It’ll be interesting to see what happens if he is there.
Illinois WR Arrelious Benn helped himself at his Pro Day, and will likely be the third or fourth WR taken.
“Production wasn’t there,” McShay said of last season. Benn is a RAC receiver, which makes him ideal for the Dolphins. But he does have inconsistent hands.
He’s shifty and has great vision. He’d be perfect for a west coast team,” McShay said of Benn, who will likely go in the late first or early second.
