Braylon Edwards was released without bail from Manhattan Criminal Court this afternoon and is due back Nov. 9 on his misdemeanor charge for driving while intoxicated.

As many of you know, there's a guy on Twitter named "Incarcerated Bob," who from time to time has what turns out to be accurate inside information about the Jets.

This time around, Bob claims that the Jets will cut receiver Braylon Edwards before Sunday. Unfortunately, this time Bob is not only incarcerated -- he's also incorrect.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that it's "not happening."

Braylon Edwards could face jail time for violating probation in Ohio if he's eventually found guilty in his recent DWI charge.
The arrest wasn't a violation of his probation, but a guilty finding would spur the Ohio judge to call Edwards back for a probation hearing. Edwards is banned from drinking at all while on probation. He can't expect lenience as it's obvious that he's learned nothing since drinking with Donte' Stallowrth the night that Stallworth ran over and killed a man.
