MIAMI BEACH— Gloria James, the mother of Miami Heat superstar LeBron James and no stranger to headlines herself, was arrested at the Fontainebleau Hotel on Thursday, accused of slapping the face of a hotel valet who angered her after he delivered her car.

Thursday's arrest was not the first time Gloria James has been arrested for drunken behavior.
Pulled over on a DUI charge in Ohio in 2006, she kicked out the window of a police car after being detained. Along with driving under the influence, she also was charged with reckless operation, speeding for driving 50 mph in a 30 mph zone, disorderly conduct and damaging police equipment.
For that incident, she was sentenced to three days in an Ohio driving intervention program and fined after she pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charges.
Police were summoned to the Fontainebleau Hotel on a "battery to a hotel employee" call that came after ...
