You guys remember when I had that F250 in my sig.
Well I got rid of it today guys. :(
It was sucking my dry to fill that big diesel ***** up. 150 every couple days was just to ****ing much, even for me. When I hauled to pontoon boat and jet skis to dropped the mpg to under 15. Just to much money on gas IMO.
But I traded it in for a beautiful F150 FX4. I got it lifted as well. Just a 2" lift, I get about 23 mpg as of right now, that's with the boat and skis. My pocket to a big deep breath today.
Imma miss you big sexy

If I get a new vehicle anytime soon, it will probably be that new F150. My Dad just got one and he seems to like it a lot.

Dude I just drove it again.
It's a awesome truck. And it's pretty damn inexpensive for what you get. My payment dropped $450

Did you get the one that had the fuel economy package or whatever it was?

I don't think so.
I got the FX4 package and the FX leather package, towing package, chrome package. But honestly I have no idea what the fuel economy package is.
You mean ECO boost?

That might be it. I can't remember what it's called. I just know it's supposed to be pretty good on gas mileage.

Yeah it is ok, it gets around 22 MPG, but it's a V6. Not powerful enough fo me when I haul stuff. But if you don't haul anything its perfect

I don't really. That may be the route I go if I do.

Damn. You saved a ton of money if your payment dropped that much and your mileage went up. Plus, diesel costs more than gas. You may be saving $1000 a month depending on how much you drive.

I was going to *****-slap you when I saw the thread title.
... Then I read further, & decided to welcome you to the F-150 club.
... Then I saw V-6, and went back to *****-slap mode.

I really need to get rid of my Explorer. It has a V-8 in it and just sucks the gas. It's payed for though so it I trade it, unless I get something old and crappy, I would be trade sucky gas mileage for a payment so it doesn't really make sense.
I really want a V-6 4x4 pickup though.
I also want to trade my Trams Am, which is payed for too, for an Infiniti though.

Me and my dad went together on that bot. We bought it from his uncle. We only paid $25,000 each.
That boat really costs about $300,000. I would never spend that.

In ford trucks, theres really no diffrence in a V6 or a V8 in terms of gas mileage.
Trucks need a V8 IMO, well unless your val, our live downtown of a big city. a V6 truck just doesn't roll off the tounge.

What's the appeal of raised trucks? People drive jacked up diesels everywhere around here. I don't get it. They're expensive and it makes you look like you have a small pecker.
My 2 cents.

lol at Bumpus's drunkness taking over this thread.
I feel you on wanting to save money though man. That's quite a bit of cash to spend every week for gas. I love Ford trucks though.

Well yeah, but my truck isn't jacked up like that.
Its just a 2" lift, which only fits up to 25" tires, I HATE huge lifted trucks
