An aviation engineer was killed Monday after being sucked into an airplane engine at an airline testing facility in New Zealand, officials said.
Miles Hunter, 51, was doing routine maintenance on a Lockheed C-130 Hercules engine at an Air New Zealand air field when the tragic mishap occurred.
An airline spokeswoman said the engine was not attached to a plane; it was on a stand without its propellers.
