I am getting my christmas bonus soon and was wondering if I should buy nba 2k 12? It is nba 2k, battlefield 3 or ncaa football 12. I am leaning towards nba 2k right now. Graphics and gameplay look amazing. Anyone got it?

Play it all the time. It's a good thing I love the NBA so much because the game is rather meh. Single player is pretty good, but online is much more of a hassle than anything else. The servers are awful, which has been a theme since 2K9.

I picked up NCAA 12 through gamefly for 24.09 with shipping. Pretty good price.

NCAA 12 is pretty fun playing as the college team you like pumps me up just as much as playing with the Dolphins in Madden

I think 2k12 is great. I play the my player mode on their and it's fantastic. I can't speak for online play, but single player is awesome. NCAA 12 is a solid game, but if you have NCAA 11, don't bother getting 12, they're both basically the same.

Issues i've had with 2k12, *noted online by lots of people* Layups/dunks are atrocious, my guy will miss wide open ones all the time.. Speed is broken, Greg Oden on to broke knees can run the floor with rondo all day long. And team mates just lack smarts, they wont drive when they're open.. Will drive with three defenders in the lane... Contested threes all game... 2k11
*sorry for the bump, just didnt wanna make a whole thread with the complaints. /rr

Considering 2k13 is almost out, this thread might be a little outdated. I hope you wound up getting the game. There are some issues with the gameplay, but NBA2K's My Player is one of the single best things in gaming right now.

It's great, I really enjoyed it and think it's an improvement over 2K11 (which was also good)
