Update: Still have Dallas/Giants game so I'll put up two draft orders with both scenarios. Looks like we could still end up with the 8th pick in the first round, depending on the coin flip.
Keep in mind that teams with the same record will change order in every round so the team with the first pick in a round will fall behind all teams with the same record in the next round while the team that was 2nd will move to the first slot. Hard to explain but I'll do the first 3 rounds. I can't do the 4th round because I don't know how many compensatory picks there will be at the end of the 3rd round.
If the Giants win the draft order will look like this (F indicates coin flip for draft position):

We would have been picking 8th still, we only went down one spot. Carolina moved up in front of us.

I'll have the top 15 up later today but we will be picking 9th in the draft. Let's hope we don't get another Ted Ginn, lol.
Thanks for all your weekly updates. Much appreciated.

Well, let the talking about the RG3 trade up scenarios begin.

With Andrew Luck a virtual lock to go to Indy, we might as well get used to the idea of RGIII being our next QB. Ireland knows he won't last here unless he gets a "star" QB. We all know Ross is a "star whore", plus Ireland went to Baylor so there's that as well.

Well, let the talking about the RG3 trade up scenarios begin.
Unless your concerned with Washington and/or Cleveland (who has two 1st rounders and could easily trade up if they needed to) taking a QB like RGIII there is no need to trade up. Personally from what I've seen of RGIII I have a hard time seeing him under Shanahan and I really think Cleveland needs a lot more pieces than a QB.
Let's not forget Cleveland, as well as having a receiving corp that has 40+ drops this season, will be letting Peyton Hillis walk and could very well take Trent Richardson with their pick.

All the cursing I did at Mark Sanchez was pretty much all for nothing then...guess it's safe to actually be happy about the win now.
Guaranteed Ireland is on the phone RIGHT NOW with the Rams talking trade.

Sounds logical, but QBs almost always tend to go higher than originally projected. With the rule changes favoring the passing game, QB is more important than ever now. You can look at his RGIII's game and say he should fall to us, but that's without taking supply and demand into account. There's scarcity at QB, the most important position, so regardless of his current skillset, he'll still end up going #2 overall because of his potential and the amount of $ he'll be paid because of the new CBA imho.

I wouldnt be sad if we went monster receiver to play other side of Marshall... WOW
Then OL for the RG in place of Columbo and some safety help
Then of course TE Coby Fleener
With a good coach and those additions we win 11 games!!!
Imagine Floyd, Marshall and Fleener and Clay with Bush and Thomas
OMG. Moore would be fine with that line-up!!

I wouldn't trade up to #2 overall for him. Way too expensive in terms of draft picks. We're not a QB away from a super bowl run or even the playoffs.
Since Matt Flynn is a free agent and he plays in the WCO I think Washington makes a serious play for him and that would knock them out for RGIII leaving only Cleveland as a possibility. Only other team that might trade up for him IMO would be Seattle and they're picking 13th pending the final results of today. They already traded a few picks for Charlie Whitehurst and I don't think they would trade up in front of us.
I still don't see anyone trading up for RGIII right now especially if he struggles in his works outs which I don't expect he will. My guess is he only gets happy feet and jittery when the bullets are flying for real.

I'm not in love with the idea of doing it either, but we're talking about Jeff Ireland here lol.

Dolphins need to draft a QB with the first pick or trade for one. It's been that way for years, but finally the fans are voicing their displeasure with low attendance. Unless there is a FA QB in place by draft time, expect the team to give up the farm for RGIII.

Nope. We played both so it won't make a difference in our SOS.

ditto...fellas watch out for the giants in the playoffs...they were the only team imo who could realistically go into lambeau in the 2nd round and come out with a w...the nfc wildcard looks like a joke to me...giants and saints i expect to roll

Minnesota I think is likely to trade down. That would be our best shot in terms of finding trade partners to move up. However I think Cleveland brings more to the bargaining table than us.

Would depend if Kalil is there or not I think. I would think Minnesota is desperate for a LT in this draft.

meh...forget trading up unless its luck...get matt flynn in free agency and take upshaw at #9 to be your solb...

I agree with hoops, let's get Upshaw at 9 and then trade up back into the first round and grab Tannehill. Instead of Flynn. Though I don't think I would have a problem with Flynn being signed and somehow Blackmon drops to us. Then we could have some fire works on offense

I agree with you on Kolb. Flynn is intriguing. I would anticipate that he gets the franchise tag slapped on him though. Might cost more than $$.

You think they would franchise tag a backup QB and pay him more than the starter, lol. OK.

Blackmon might not make it past Carolina, although their Defense needs desperate help....Could you guys imagine if CamWake goes down at any point next year? Friggin QBs could read the finantial section of the Wall Street Journal back there!! We have to draft at least 2 pass rushers (or get help via FA also)

I thought the compensation for a franchised tagged player was two first rounders. If thats the case I doubt they'll find takers at that price.

That's what the transition tag is for, not the franchise tag.
