More workers are reluctant to leave their employer and it’s shrinking job opportunities for the unemployed , underemployed and those looking to find new work horizons, according to an article in the Wall Street Journal Wednesday. In a shaky economy and an environment where employee loyalty means little compared to shareholder bottom-line profitability, the "a (secure) bird in the hand is worth (a risky) 2 in the bush" job philosophy is the most prudent one (unless on the new position you can negotiate a comfortable contract with a Golden Parachute)
