AOL suspends ads on Rush Limbaugh show

And then there were nine. AOL Corp. became the latest sponsor to suspend ads on Rush Limbaugh's radio show after the conservative shock-jock last week called a Georgetown University law student a "slut" and a "prostitute" for supporting wider availability to contraceptives.

"At AOL one of our core values is that we act with integrity. We have monitored the unfolding events and have determined that Mr. Limbaugh’s comments are not in line with our values. As a result we have made the decision to suspend advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Radio show," AOL saidMonday in a brief statement on its Facebook page. AOL was not immediately available to comment.

The announcement came almost at the same time that Limbaugh asserted on his radio show that his written apology to Sandra Fluke on Saturday was "sincere."

"I do not think she was either of those two words," Limbaugh said on his radio show.

He needs to hurry up and have the inevitable heart attack that's going to kill him. The sooner the better. This guy adds nothing of value to our society...

I don't know what's more surprising, the fact that Limbaugh is somehow still relevant or the fact that AOL still exists. It makes sense though. The only people that would listen to Limbaugh are the only people still using AOL. Hard to get good internet access in trailer parks.

This was my exact reaction. When people tells they still use AOL its like hearing people say they still use a VCR.

I have no sympathy on anyone who makes a living out of manufacturing hate and discord within a society. That goes for Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Chris Brown, The KKK, The Black Panthers, or anyone of any demographic, population, or ideology. If I had my way, they'd all be hog-tied, tossed in a pit, and blown up via a 10 bazooka firing squad. There is no place in a society for ****-stirrers, and that's all these people are. We'd be better off without them, all of them...

He'll easily get those sponsors replaced, if nothing more than by the likes of PurduePharm (makers of Oxycontin), Pfizer (maker of Viagra) NAMBLA, and DRCSITB (Dominican Republic Child Sex Industry Tourism Bureau). :idk:
