Most of you recall WVDolphan's classic Christmas Carol Parody "Pennington is coming to town" which was later ripped off by a local band and featured on SportsCenter. Fun times we had a few years back when Pennington went to town in New Jersey and destroyed the Jests.
Unfortunately, it has been very trying times for us phins fans over the last few years. That one great day is still the last bit of joy we have had. We have suffered through a serious case of Parcellsitis, having been trolled so hard by Bill Parcells. The guy fails to draft our QB when he is there for the taking to begin the rebuilding of this once proud franchise, instead taking a top notch but highly overpaid LT and leaving our franchise in the hands of the completely incompetent Jeff Ireland. Parcells' buddy. Gee..... thanks Bill.
Faced with such adversity, I feel like we as phins fans need a little something we can share and chuckle about as we endure this great misery that is Jeff Ireland together. As most of you know, the phins fight song has been a topic of debate a few times over the last few years. Most of us like the old corny fight song that carried us through some great seasons. Its tough to beat that banjo. Steven Ross of course has tried to mix it up by bringing in a lazy, overappreciated, and popular drunk to make a new fight song that some of you liked and some of us hated.
I think now its time for us to at least agree on a fight song. So I think I have made one we can comprimise on. We go with the original song, but simply change the lyrics. That way those of you who didnt like that song and found the change Ross made nice, can still get something different and those of us who liked the simplicity of the old song, can still have that. What we all get though, is a new fight song.
I now give you the new Miami Dolphins fight song.....................
Miami has Jeff Ireland
The worst GM in the league
He'll run the franchise in the ground like no one's ever seen
We're never winning with this clown Parcells left in control
And when he meets with prospects
He'll call their mom a ho
Cause were the Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins help us God
What do you guys think? Feel free to add a few more verses to keep the song from being so repetative.
