Quarterback prospects

I know a lot of you like Ryan Tannehill and Brandon Weeden but what about some of the other top rated prospects in this draft. I put together a list of some of the higher rated guys and highlight links for each one.

I'm curious which one of these guys the majority of people here think has the potential to be a franchise quarterback for us. I hope I didn't leave out anyone with franchise potential.

I feel like Ryan Tannehill's the pick if he's there at #8. I think Miami's next target would be Kirk Cousins, who could be a successful WC quarterback. After that, I just don't know. Lots of talk about Brandon Weeden, but at 28 years old, not sure the Dolphins would pull the string there. Haven't seen BJ Coleman, but there's talk he has the skills. Don't like Nick Foles at all. I think Russell Wilson would be my darkhorse. Besides lack of size, there's a lot to like about him.

I'm with you on Tannehill and Cousins. Coleman and Russell are my darkhorses although Osweiler is intriguing because of his athleticism for a man his size. I like Weeden's arm but watching him in videos and a few games last year I'm concerned with his footwork and lack of mobility. Without as great pass blocking line he may get killed back there in the pros.

Any thoughts on John Brantley-Florida? I think he would be a great pickup as a FA if he's not drafted. Better than Devlin IMHO.

I wasn't real familiar with G.J. Kinne but he looks real good in the video, has some size and may be a guy to keep an eye on. I agree on Brantley that he could be a good pickup in the later rounds or as a free agent. He could be a possibility for the practice squad or to duke it out with Devlin.

What impressed me about Osweiler was his mobility, quick release and arm strength. He plays the game similar to Rothlesberger.
His ability to shed tackles, running ability, and knowing how to avoid(awareness) tackers in the pocket looked good.
All of those guys look great in their highlights, but apart from Tannehill, Brock Osweiler looks like a pro QB. Great potential.
Frankly, I would not be opposed to drafting two of those guys. It is a real need on this team.

I am a Tannehill fan, and do not think he is as far off from contributing as many think. He has solid fundamentals, and GREAT instincts for a QB that is so green.

I also think Weeden (so long as he plays soon) will be a success as his repetoire is quite enticing.

Osweiler has a lot of potential if someone is able to tinker with his release, but that's always a big if.

Not a fan of Cousins (seems far, far too robotic to me) at all, and I think Foles will be an unabashed train wreck.

The rest do not even seem like capable backups to me.

While this draft is extremely top heavy for QBs, I think Luck, RGIII, Tannehill, Weeden, and possibly Osweiler will all enjoy minor to major degrees of success. If the Dolphins get a QB besides one of these guys, we may as well spend the next few years watching another sport.

The more and more game film I watch on him, the more Foles' game reminds me a lot of garbage players Brodie Croyle & Ricky Stanzi...

Based on that, I wonder if the Chiefs draft him! You heard it here first!

I know it's highlight film, but for only starting 15 games Osweiler seems to have very good pocket awareness, like the way he steps up in the pocket. When he decides to let it go it sure comes out in a hurry. I really don't want to get my hopes up for a certain QB, If I do they'll draft somebody I don't care for.
