How to close fins radio/side bar thingy

I usually keep the side bar thing closed, but after running some routine maintenance on my laptop, it is back and I can't get it to close. So how do I close it? The little arrows that point to the right doesn't close it like it used to.

No biggie, i get the same sometimes it does go away.............
