Which wr's are still out there that are steals?
maybe with les brown, egnew, clay and fasano, we're just going to use a ton of tight end sets and then just throw in davone and hartline ... but regardless, we should still get a number one receiver. we cant rely on young tight ends and fasano already. Which wr's do u guys like

Tommy Streeter would be great value with our next pick.

McNutt. Especially with our Iowa connection. Former Iowa OC and now Fins WR Coach.

A lot of WR's that people have mentioned keep falling. Still have 25 pick until our next one, but the odds keep getting better and better that we may actually make this work.

those players might be gone by the time we pick again.

First don't forget about Gates. His size and speed will excel in the WCO. But WR's in the draft look for connections to the WCO or the coaching staff. McNutt, Owusu, Marvin Jones, Keyshawn Martin. If they are looking for athletic speed or talent then Streeter, Dwight Jones for example. Still quality guys available. This draft is very deep.

Martin just got picked by Houston so scratch him off the list.

I think the 3 best WR left are Streeter, McNutt, and Juron Criner from Arizona

Greg Childs or Criner for me.

I like either of those picks. I was going to throw in Toon and Criner. Looks like Toon is gone now. So I think we have a shot at one of these 3. But I wonder if they are even going to pick a WR in the draft at this point? We all think they should, but I'm beginning to wonder if they are?

why we haven't taken a wr is beyond me.

Tony Clemons out of University of Colorado would be quite a grab in the 7th
6' 2"
210lbs
43rec 680yds 8tds
Laser timed 4.35 40yard dash at the CU pro day
Really came on strong at the last half of last year once the new coaching staff started turning the corner with the players.
McNutt. Especially with our Iowa connection. Former Iowa OC and now Fins WR Coach.
Ken O'Keefe has to be pushing for McNutt. All time leading receiver in Iowa history.

Totally agree! Dwight Jones would be a steal. 6-4, 225, 1196 yds and 12 tds last year. Bigger and better than alot of players being picked now. We need to get him in the 5th or 6th.

What's supposed to be the knock on him? Looks good on paper.

you arent going to get a number 1 wr normally in the 4-7 rounds anyways.

Inconsistent hands, tendency to fight the football into his hands. Drops, concentration, etc.
Concerns about his intelligence both off the field and on it (football IQ).

Thank you. I appreciate your insight. Any comments on BJ Cunningham?

You can find a few threads in the draft forum going back to July-August of last year where I mention him as one of the most underrated WR prospects in the Senior class. I've always liked him.
