As burgers get bigger, so does the country's obesity epidemic.
According to a shocking new graphic from the Centers for Disease Control, a typical fast-food burger weighed just 3.9 ounces in the 1950s. Now, it’s 12 ounces — three times larger....

Chains started doing it to seperate themselves from others..than others started following them...When consumers go out they want alot of food..Do you think restaruants are going to give them less? Thats a sure fire way to go out of bussiness...Ppl have to be responsible when they go out to eat...or at least bust their ass at the gym to keep the pounds off.
