I read an article once about a woman doctor found dead at the scene of a one car accident. Her trachea and windpipe had been collapsed on impact with the steering wheel and she was in the midst of attempting a tracheotomy on herself with a nail file from her purse when she ran out of time. I had nearly accomplished this once, but I was just trying to clip my nails after a few beers.
