Holmes was a rookie in '97 with the Ravens.

Williams was a rookie in '99 with the Saints.

so that means that Williams backed up Holmes, thats what I thought

Ricky had 990 yards rushing as a freshman and 1272 yards as a sophomore. He wasn't a backup.
